In accordance with legislation, IG Markets may require applicants to provide clear copies of documents (or certified copies on request) to verify your identity, which can be sent by email, fax or post.
There are two methods which will satisfy this requirement:
Method 1 (provide ONE of the following)
- Passport - can be current or have expired within the past TWO years
- Driver licence - MUST be current
- Proof of age card issued by the relevant Authority - MUST be current
Method 2 (provide TWO of the following)
A recent utility bill, financial statement or council rate notice - issued within the last 6 months, showing your name and residential address. This can include any two of the following:
- a financial statement (savings, credit, mortgage) issued by an Approved Deposit-taking Institution (ADI) in Australia. To obtain a full list of ADIs in Australia please visit http://www.apra.gov.au/adi/ADIList.cfm
- gas, electricity, water, home phone, internet (dial up, broadband)
- a council rate notice
- a notice or assessment issued by the RTA or a government body
- a lease agreement, contract for sale of a property, or a rental bond lodgment document
- home/content insurance policy statement
- a notice of assessment issued by the ATO
